The Common's Virtual Mail Service

Virtual mail services, also known as digital mailboxes or online mail services, offer a modern solution to managing traditional postal mail in a digital era. These services cater to individuals, businesses, and organizations seeking efficient, secure, and convenient mail handling. 

When signing up for a digital mailbox, you are agreeing to give The Common access to receiving, sorting, and/ or distributing mail on your behalf. Once the mail has been delivered to The Common, you will be alerted via our Common Application. From here, you have the option to chose how we handle any mail or packages which are delivered. 

• Virtual Mailbox: Upon signing up and completing the necessary paperwork for Virtual Mail Services, you have the option to have your own private mailbox to which your mail will be delivered to and stored in. You are allowed 24 hour access to this mailbox, and can pick your items up at your convenience. This mailbox is included in your plan, however there is a small refundable deposit required for the key to the mailbox. 
• Mail Forwarding: You may choose to have your mail forwarded to you at your designated address. Your forwarding address is kept confidential in our system, ensuring your personal privacy. There is a fixed number of forwarding items included in your plan per month. Additional fees will be applied if this limit is exceeded. Please see the pricing chart below for details. 
• Open and Scan: At your request, The Common is authorized to open and scan the contents of your mail and notify you when completed. You can easily view and access your scanned mail from your phone and PC. There is a fixed number of scanned items included in your plan per month. Additional fees will be applied if this limit is exceeded. Please see the pricing chart below for details. 

• Real U.S. Street address at an office building
• Mobile App for Android and iOS devices for full access of the VMS
• Email notifications for new mail and packages received
• Content scans of envelop mail
• Local mail and package pickup
• Mail item consolidation and package forwarding in the U.S. only
• Unlimited recycling of junk mail 
• 1 company name, only 2 recipients

Prior to receiving mail at The Common, there are some documents that need to be completed. First: 

• The USPS Form 1583: Application of Mail Delivery Through Agent

This form will need to be notarized and provided to the Common before any further steps are completed. Once you have completed this, please call or email The Common to schedule an appointment with the Property Manager who will provide you with further documents to complete the process and receive your mailbox!

• 2 Valid Forms of ID

This may include Driver's Licenses, Passports, Military IDs, etc.

Finally, you must complete this Google Form stating how you would like to receive your mail. This form will tell us how to handle your mail, as well as give more detailed information about what is expected from both us and you. 

Once all of these steps have been completed, we will then begin to receive your mail and alert you upon its arrival.

The base price of the Virtual Mail Service is $50 per month, with a one-time refundable deposit of $10 for your mailbox key should you choose to have a physical mailbox. Additional fees may be required. Please see below what the fees entail.
